The hits just keep on coming, kids! Welcome back to The Magic Tavern where it’s speculation 24/7/365! This is BDC and I am beyond excited for Adventures in the Forgotten Realms coming in July this year. This is mainly because Wotc seems to be extra excited and spoilery real early! First up, Wotc went theContinue reading “Gods, Planeswalkers and other creatures: Speculation for MTG’s Forgotten Realms”
Ikoria gave us a marvelous enchantment in Ominous Seas that encouraged card draw into an 8/8 KRAKEN. And, the more card draw, the more lands you can get your hands on. This helps you build to another famous 8/8 Kraken when you play the card KIORA bests the Sea God. This one comes with, not only, Hexproof, but a complete shutdown of your opponent on the second phase of the saga and an outright stealing of an opponent’s creature on the third.
This is BDC and it’s been far too long since we published a speculation of any sort and I have to beg your forgiveness. The last week has been a daunting endeavor indeed. Been far too busy ‘raisin’ the axe’ and building Kaldheim decks on Arena. First of all, a GREAT set. Now, I’m not complaining at all because I was really hoping for a good many of these types of cards. But these new gods bring both blessings and curses. On the bright side, they’re all modal double-faced.Continue reading “Gods of Kaldheim: Returning Value”
Wotc has been telling us throughout the last month to ‘RAISE OUR AXES’ and, even though that’s very Viking and in theme for Kaldheim, I’m going to encourage us to raise our HAMMERS!
The Latest episode of the Podcast is live! This Week Steps and BDC sit and talk through some of the previews and spoilers (That have now been revealed as true) Covering many of the cards and coming mechanics in the game and a little bit of banter along the way!
Holy Alrund! The Skalds will be singing all night tonight! Spoiler Season begins, we get our first bit of fiction and it’s what we expected and more!

A bit of Viking goodness, brought to you by BDC Well, spoiler season is upon us and it is METAL! There are a dozen cards, mechanics and decktecks I couldContinue reading “Modal Double-Faced Commanders: Kaldheim changes things”
